Different viewpoints
Yesterday, I went for the live recording of the Praise n Worship session at the Rock. Wow, everyone(or almost everyone) was in their most hip n happening attire...me? eh...I was just in good old plain top n demin skirt..hee...so unglam..
Anyway, prior the recording actual, Deacon Matthew Kang was setting some ground rules, such as switch off all hps, dont dodge when u realise e camera's on u, just "get lost" in the praise n worship n the like. Somehow, for some reason or another, this aggravated my friend extremely. She felt that e reminders were too 'deliberate' n 'unnecessary.'
well, i held a different viewpoint, even though i could see when she's coming from. I told her straight dat im already "shutting off" to her remarks when i couldnt take her distasteful tone n looks of contempt anymore...sigh,so much for disdain...
This isn't the 1st time we have differences btw us. I mean i should say we were never similar, although we can see where the other is coming from most of the time. Somehow, its a miracle that we r frens, and i never cease to wonder how GOD holds together our friendship, n did even strengthen it, despite our differences. Anyway, she has no peace in my church, n i admit i feel kinda sad when she said that...but i think more importantly its that she "finds back her peace" as she calls it...
oops, off topic...anyway the recording was abt 2 hours, n the selection of songs were great...woohoo! almost all my faves r there, n u could imagine...after e session, i could barely squeak out loud enough to order a mango-papaya smoothie...
Later at nite, I went with some of my poly kakis for dinner...yeah! Felt so good to see them, n we yakked over some not-really-fantastic gobble at Hans, Far East. Afterwards we did some shoppin, n sat down for some coffee(erhm, technically, none of us ordered coffee though, hahaha) at Coffee Bean...
Actually Ive nothing much to blog reali, jus feel obliged to since there's no excuse not to, with this long weekend..hehe..need to stop here now, cos have to get ready...im going for Energy's mini concert at ChinaBlack since i have free tickets...hope i wont get clobbered by e young n enthu fans haha...will blog about it tml, so catch me ranting or raving..(pray for the latter);p
